About Me

I am a transdisciplinary artist, developer and researcher.

I am a trained composer, guitarist and singer, with a Composition degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, a Summer Scholarship in Electric and Classical Guitar at Berklee College of Music, as well as a trained visual artist with a diploma from the Liceo Artistico di Brera.

My artistic work crosses art forms and is predicated on the principle of Show and Tell, whereby the interpretation of the artwork is part of the artwork itself, making it fundamentally educational. My art relays my personal experience by placing it within a larger, socioeconomic context and essentially performing a historical materialist analysis of the self.

The primary project I am working on is called Cutaway, an interactive book with a soundtrack, where the reader's pace and interaction with the book affects the soundtrack in different ways. It is about a period of introspection following the death of a close friend which made me engage in a "ruthless criticism of all that exists".

Both my research and my tech work focus mainly on the fields of knowledge production, hegemony and propaganda. I am the developer of MatGen, a dialectical knowledge management system and content generator.

My paper "Sex and Gender in the longue durèe: Reification and the Dialectics of Liberation", which was first presented at the 10th International Colloquium on Trans Identities, Gender and Culture, run by CENESEX and held in Havana, Cuba, on May 12-14, 2026, will be out at the end of September as part of the first issue of Red Horizons, published by Iskra Books.

I am also an Associate Editor and Graphic Designer at Iskra Books, a member of the Britain Committee of Friends of Socialist China and a member of the Assata Shakur Brigade.

MatGen, the dialectical knowledge management system and content generator

MatGen is a new paradigm for knowledge management and content generation. Inspired mainly by Ted Nelson's Project Xanadu, MatGen leverages a clean, semantic database structure, allowing users to keep all their data in one place, track any change semantically and automatically, and fully integrate with different functionality, such as project management, website generation, typesetting and much more.

It uses a unique approach to data management, by using directories as semantic entities, forgoing relational databases in favour of using the filesystem as a database directly.
This virtually eliminates data duplication, removes technical friction for users, ensures interoperability with any and all existing software, allows for the dynamic reuse of data across modules, and makes automatic semantic versioning, backups, debugging and documentation a reality.
Various system optimisations ensure high performance and fast dynamic indexing.
Standardised, validating ontologies guarantee data cleanliness and mitigate the kind of data waste which necessitates generative AI to sift through.

The semantic core is the perfect base for innumerable modules, and is an important step towards building a truly semantic and accessible web, where knowledge is built collectively and shared, and where generative AI is not needed.

This very website, as well as all the typesetting I've done for Iskra Books and the title cards for my music videos have been made with MatGen.

And just to make sure it is understood, MatGen is completely GenAI-free.
